Valerie Campbell
Registered Dental Hygienist
Valerie was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Princeton, NJ. She attended high school in Colorado Springs, CO. After high school Valerie attended college at the University of Colorado and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Valerie enjoys providing her patients with an understanding of Optimal Oral Health and what it takes to achieve that. She has been a leader in the Dental Hygiene Department in our practice.
When not at the office, Valerie can be found at the Sonlight Church, where she is the Children’s Ministry Director. She shares her life with her daughter, Jessica, Mom and Lucy, the Golden Retriever and Emma the Doberman. She likes to try out new recipes, dog training and outreach programs.
Marianne (Mary) Tolley
Registered Dental Hygienist
Mary graduated from Old Dominion University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York and moved to Virginia Beach during high school. Mary has resided here ever since. After many years of being a stay at home Mom to her 3 children, Mary decided to attend college. With a lot of family help and support she graduated from ODU. This occurred the same year her oldest child graduated from high school. Mary joined our practice in 2006 and provides our patients with the education to keep their whole mouth healthy for a lifetime.
Mary lives with her husband Don, youngest son and dog Bailey in Virginia Beach. Her extended family includes a daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters as well as a son that is serving aboard the USS Harry S Truman. During her free time Mary enjoys spending as much time as possible with her 2 precious granddaughters. She also enjoys scrapbooking, cardmaking and being outdoors.
Paula DaBella Dove
Practice Administrator
Paula started her dental career in the mid 1980’s as a chair side dental assistant. In 1987, she acquired her dental radiology certification. By the early 90’s she made the move from the clinical side of dentistry to the business side. She has attended many practice management seminars given by leaders in the industry and has a true passion for dentistry.
Paula moved from the multi-dentist/orthodontic practice in Pennsylvania to North Carolina in 2002. She joined our practice in June, 2009 and has helped facilitate many changes in our practice. Paula’s broad base of experience in dentistry has made her knowledgeable in all facets of patient care and treatment planning.
Paula lives in Grandy, North Carolina with her husband, Chip and their two dogs, Maxwell and Benjamin. Paula has three beautiful daughters and six wonderful grandchildren. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren in Pennsylvania, being at home with family and friends and of course spending time on the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks, NC.
Clare Beasley
Certified Dental Assistant
Clare graduated in 1992 from Old Dominion University with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She began her dental career shortly after graduating with Dr. Schrumpf and continues to provide unsurpassed patient care.
When not at work, Clare spends her time with her husband, Scott and their two great children. She enjoys being a mother and gardening. Clare looks forward to assisting each of our patients in attaining a smile to last a lifetime.
Teresa Ellermann
Certified Dental Assistant
Teresa was first introduced to dentistry in 1990. She started in a general practice office and was trained as a dental assistant. After a few months Teresa decided to obtain her CDA certification. Her favorite aspect of patient care is witnessing the dramatic changes in patient’s smiles and the general improvement in their oral health.
Teresa is a pivotal member of the clinical team and assists each doctor throughout treatment processes and also assuring our patient needs and desires are being met. Teresa enjoys the relationships she has formed with patients throughout the years.
In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Arthur, and their two beloved Newfoundland dogs, Duke and Daisy to the 4x4 beaches in the Outer Banks, NC.
Sandra Seifert
Certified Dental Assistant
Sandy attended Linn-Benton Community College in Albany Oregon and graduated in 1979 as a certified dental assistant. Her career has lead her down many paths in dentistry. She has worked for general dentists, pedodontists, and an orthodontic practice in Oregon, Florida, Rhode Island and finally Virginia. Sandy has traveled to many parts of the country with her husband, Gerrod and their two daughters, as her husband is an Officer in the United States Navy.
Sandy enjoys providing her patients with a special brand of caring. She takes pride in helping our patients who require removable prosthetics, achieve optimal fit and comfort with custom fitting dentures and partials. She works closely with Dr. Schrumpf to ensure each patients needs are met.
When not at work, Sandy enjoys reading, going to the movies, boating and camping. She is anticipating the birth of her first grandson in June 2010.
Robin Combs
Certified Dental Assistant
Robin has been a dental assistant for many years in the Hampton Roads area. She obtained her dental radiology certification in 1995 at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Robin enjoys providing our patients with superb care.
Renee Marshall
Patient Coordinator
Renee has worked in dentistry for more than 40 years. She began her career as a dental assistant and now enjoys helping our patients acheive the smile they have always wanted and deserve. She is one of the cheerful voices you hear when calling into our office.
Renee lives with her husband Bill and their two cats. They have two grown children. Renee's hobbies include walking, reading, sailing with her husband and spending time with their friends.
Lauren Billings
Patient Coordinator
Lauren has worked in the field of dentistry for only a short while. She has gained many skills working here with Dr. Schrumpf, Dr. Herman and the entire staff. She enjoys welcoming patients to our office. Lauren lives in Chesapeake with her parents.
